Norrenergi

Norrenergi AB is a Swedish district heating and cooling company. They were about to shift their existing customer portal to a new technical framework and wanted a complete overhaul in the process. The purpose of the portal is to monitor energy usage and identify ways to reduce spending. Private users, business users and organizations were interviewed and invited to test interactive prototypes in several stages through the design process. Also, workshops with representatives from Norrenergi were instrumental in identifying the scope. The portal allows for comparisons between buildings, energy variables and time periods. The budget tool offers the possibility to make a prognosis for future energy spending based on current data. Alarm notifications is another customizable feature. In several ways, the scope of the portal, with in-depth data, placed it as a forerunner in the market field.
