Help to Help
Help to Help is a crowdsourcing platform that funds higher education for young adults in East Africa. For a few years the efforts had been directed towards securing new company partnerships. Help to Help wanted to bring the private donors back into focus with a revision of the website as the main objective. Workshops with Help to Help zeroed in on two impact goals. The primary goal was to add more monthly donors. Interviews and UX testing of the existing website explored the attitudes and behaviors among loyal and presumptive donors. The analysis that followed resulted in three personas and three concepts. A deciding workshop with Help to Help singled out one of the concepts and laid the foundation for a reworking of the donation model. A key change was allowing the donor to fund an entire field of education, as opposed to having to choose between students. Another shift is an increased emphasis on communicating results and impact. The new concept led to an overhaul of the website. In parallel, the visual identity was expanded upon to meet new requirements. Note that the images below contain some placeholder content.
